Description
Small Finds is a series of drawings by Tania Kovats recently acquired for the Arts Council Collection alongside a range of objects from the Museum of the White Horse. This body of work is Kovats’ personal and poetic response to the Uffington White Horse: a 3,000 year old chalk drawing carved into the Oxfordshire hillside.
Tania Kovats’ work deals with the experience and understanding of landscape, particularly about places that reveal narratives of their own making. The Museum of the White Horse and Small Finds is the first time Kovats has considered the social or man-made marks in the landscape.
In partnership with Salisbury International Arts Festival
This exhibition is on loan from the Arts Council Collection, Southbank Centre, London.
