A talk by Melanie Pomeroy-Kellinger, Wiltshire County Archaeologist.
Over the last ten years over a thousand archaeological fieldwork projects have been undertaken in Wiltshire promoted by planning applications for developments. They have taken the form of evaluations, excavations and watching briefs. These fieldwork projects have resulted in the discovery of lots archaeological sites and feature, transforming our understanding of the County's rich archaeological resource. This lecture will survey some of the most interesting and important archaeological finds discovered in Wiltshire over the last ten years, from Palaeolithic hunting camps to 17th century cemeteries and more.
