Hele Stone, Stonehenge
By W. Dreghorn
1956
The Museum posesses a number of paintings by this artist. Although he was not a professional, the naivity in Dreghorn’s work is appealing. His pictures of Stonehenge in particular seem to capture the innocent pleasure of a family day-out. They provide a good record of a time before Stonehenge became overcrowded and when visitors were still allowed to wander among the stones.
