By Humphrey Purnell Blackmore 1857 As well as being a medical doctor, museum curator, respected historian and amateur archaeologist, Blackmore was a talented artist. He often employed watercolours to record archaeological sites and finds and his diaries (held in the Museum) are full of useful pictures and annotated diagrams.
