Stonehenge
By John Britton and Storer 1801 - 1825 This print is from The Beauties of Wiltshire. The book was part of a series, called The Beauties of England and Wales, which described the natural and man-made features in each county. Britton jointly edited the volumes with Edward William Brayley. Some of the drawings are by Britton, but he also commissioned some of the best-known topographical draughtsmen of his day.
