Ethnography collection
Pitt Rivers collected examples of tools and weapons from all over the world. These were exhibited at the Bethnal Green branch of the South Kensington Museum in London. In 1883 the bulk of the 14,000 objects was given to Oxford University. This remarkable collection can still be seen at the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford.
