Iwerne: A Roman villa
The excavation at Iwerne, north of Blandford, was his last, and one Pitt Rivers did not live to see completed. This relatively small villa produced a range of interesting finds and remarkable structural remains that included a section of a room with decorated wall plaster surviving.
