Gold Coins

A hoard of 17 gold coins found by metal detectorists near Bowerchalke, in south Wiltshire. This stunning collection of coins minted by the local tribe, the Durotriges, represents the only hoard of this type from this area.

Acquired with the financial assistance of the Resource/V&A Purchase Grant Fund, The National Art Collections Fund and the Beecroft Bequest.
