Description

Wednesday 13 January – Wednesday 24 March 2010. An exhibition of sculpture and drawings by artist Tim Harrisson.

Including new work directly inspired by the Museum’s Pitt Rivers collection displayed alongside models made by General Pitt Rivers during his archaeological explorations in Dorset and Wiltshire.

Tim’s drawings present a tactile dialogue between space and surface that reveal a close study of the minutiae of his chosen landscape. By layering drawing and printmaking processes, he marks the paper to build up a representation of the landscape’s topographical dimensions. This tactile play between filled and created space is continued in his sculptural works.
