Salisbury Museum is seeking contractors to move forward with our development plans. Earlier this year the museum was successful with a second round bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund and was awarded a grant of £1,794,600 to develop our new Archaeology of Wessex gallery. The museum has also raised an additional £600,000 to reach the total of £2.4 million needed to start the project.
In October the museum reappointed Metaphor, the master planners, architects and exhibition designers to complete the designs for the new gallery. The museum also appointed Jane Ellis-Schön to the role of project curator and Ellie Collier to the role of project manager – both members of staff took up their new roles in November.
