Salisbury Museum is seeking a creative thinker, who displays initiative, tenacity and first-class administration skills to join its friendly and ambitious team as fundraiser. This is a new post and an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
You will join the museum at a highly exciting time. We have recently received a grant of £1.8 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund and have raised a further £600,000 to embark on a new programme of capital works, specifically, to create a new Archaeology Gallery.
Whilst we develop our programme of capital works, this role is central to the successful operation of the Museum and to providing funds for our day-to-day activities, national exhibitions programme, education projects and acquisitions. Working with the museum’s fundraising consultant, you will design and deliver a series of tailored initiatives to nurture a variety of prospects, so the ability to build relationships with a range of personalities will be required. Ideally, you will have a passion for heritage, culture or the arts.
Salary range: £18,000 - £22,000 (dependant on experience). Full training and mentoring is provided.
Deadline for applications: 18th March 2013
