A lecture by Sir Michael Parker KCVO CBE.
Michael Parker is the leading originator and producer of large scale events, both Military and Civilian, in Great Britain. Since leaving the Army in 1971 he has been responsible for over 80 National occasions. He was Producer of the Royal Tournament for 27 years and the Edinburgh Tattoo for three years.
Among the major National events that he has originated and run are the Silver Jubilee Celebrations for HM The Queen in 1977 and the Golden Jubilee Celebrations at Buckingham Palace in 2002. He organised The Queen Mother’s 90th and 100th Birthday Celebrations. He has produced Major National Events in the USA, Italy, Spain, Australia, Jordan, Oman and Saudi Arabia and has raised £11 million for charity.

The evening will begin at 6.30 pm with wine and canapes in the Museum's History of Salisbury Galleries followed by the lecture in the lecture hall.
