A talk by Edward Rutherfurd.
Edward Rutherfurd was born in Salisbury. Educated at the Universities of Cambridge and Stanford, California, he worked in political research, bookselling and publishing. In 1983 he returned to Salisbury to write "Sarum", a historical novel with a ten thousand year story set in the area around Stonehenge and Salisbury, which became an instant bestseller. Since then he has written five more successful novels, the most recent being "New York".
The evening will begin at 6.30 pm with a glass of wine in the Museum's History of Salisbury Galleries followed by the lecture in the lecture hall.
