First Monday of every month. Sessions from 10.30am until 12 midday
6 January, 3 February, 2 March and 6 April 2020
A monthly group for people who want to enjoy our museum and its collections, explore our heritage through objects and in different ways.
This facilitated session is particularly suitable for people living with dementia, carers and any older person who might find it difficult to amble through our galleries and up our stairs.
Each month we will take objects from our collections as a starting point for conversation, sharing ideas and remembering things from our own histories. In some sessions you will hear from museum volunteers on their interest areas. In some sessions we will use a creative activity to get the conversation flowing in a different way.
Whether or not you have been a visitor of museums in the past this will offer you a welcoming and social chance to talk in new ways about things old and new.
Access: Our lecture hall is on the ground floor with level access. Toilet facilities are a walk away from the space in our Café and it can be useful to visit on arrival. Disabled parking is available to book via our Reception. For full details of accessibility follow this link www.salisburymuseum.org.uk/your-visit/accessibility
