Back by popular demand, artist Claire Thomas returns to the museum to lead a two day sketching and watercolour workshop, inspired by John Constable’s painting of Salisbury Cathedral from the Meadows, 1831. This workshop is suitable for painters of all abilities who want to learn more about the art of mixing and using watercolour to paint landscapes. Weather permitting, this will include sketching outside and from the water meadows.
Suggested kit list:
Sketch book, Soft pencils - 4-6b, Watercolour paper 140lbs/300gsm, Brushes - preferably at least one with a good point size 10 or above, Watercolours/inks/acrylics medium of your choice, Watercolour pencils
