Led by Martin Green, spend the day enjoying art and archaeology in the landscape of Down Farm. The morning begins with an opportunity to visit Down Farm museum, followed by a tour of the sites in Fir Tree field and the chance to find out how students from Southampton University are getting on with their training dig. The afternoon will include a walk in the surrounding landscape and a tour of the ancient sites, taking in Neolithic long barrows, crossing the Dorset Cursus and finishing the day at the restored henges of Wyke Down.

Meet and park at Down Farm ST 999 149. From Salisbury take A354 signposted to Blandford from Salisbury. Go straight over the large Sixpenny Handley roundabout. Turn off the A354 signposted Wimbourne St Giles, (1st left after roundabout ). Continue a short distance along this road. Take the tarmac lane on the right (signposted ‘Down Farm’). The farm is past the cottages on the right hand side.
