Sunday 27 May 12 midday – 4pm and Monday 28 May 10am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4pm
Join us for two days of living history as we welcome the Andover - based living history group ‘Britain at its Best’. This group brings to life exactly what a field office of the 4th Battalion Dorsetshire regiment would have been like during World War II. So whether it is a 1943 Austin K2 general service lorry or communications equipment – come and find out just what is required to run an army on the move. Working alongside ‘Britain at its Best’ we are pleased to welcome Jo and Derek who recreate an army film and photographic unit, giving a glimpse into work that was secret during the war. Capturing all this for posterity, we are also pleased to welcome artists from Plain Arts Salisbury, who will be acting as war artists for the two days. Come along and try your hand at being a war artist too!
