Due to popular demand, Hugo Vickers has kindly agreed to do another talk here at the museum. His earlier talk was completely sold out and many people said it was one of the best talks they had been to. The talk will be a repeat of his earlier talk but with a few extra stories along the way.
Hugo Vickers is a writer and broadcaster, who has written biographies of many twentieth century figures, including royalty and film stars. At Cecil Beaton’s request, Vickers became his authorized biographer and was granted access to voluminous unpublished material. His entertaining lecture tells Beaton’s story in his own words and is lavishly illustrated with examples of his finest work. 6.00pm exhibition open - 7.00pm lecture.
